John “DrewPeacoq8” has been playing poker since 2005 and went full-time with poker in 2010. The first few years of poker for John involved mostly recreational play where he would get together with all of his college buddies and play a single table tournament. When he couldn't satisfy his craving to play live, he eventually started to play online.
In 2010, he decided to become a professional and abandon the “real world” job market, a.k.a. “Chase the Dream”. In his 1st year grinding online, thru hard work and dedication to learning the game, he was able to finish 5th in total profit on the merge network leader-board in slightly under 8 months of playing.
Since then, Drew has been involved in many areas of the poker community, from playing and coaching, to staking and managing stables. He has contributed an insurmountable amount of hard work into his profession and has grown into a role model as a pro poker player to many of his colleagues, friends, and family.
